Our Orthopedic Surgeons and staff are here to assist you through the steps before and after a joint replacement. A total joint replacement is a surgical procedure in which parts of an arthritic or damaged joint are removed and replaced with a prosthesis. The prosthesis is designed to replicate the movement of a normal, healthy joint. Before the surgical route is concerned, non-surgical treatments such as medication, physical therapy and/or changes to your activities are suggested. If these treatments are not working your doctor may recommend surgery.
